2022-23 Parkhurst Champions Hockey is taking the Parkhurst brand beyond just Walmart for the first time in several years. The checklist includes a variety of card types and styles, many of which evoke nostalgia in different ways albeit with a primary focus on current players and rookies.
Hobby boxes include at least one autograph or memorabilia card as well as a second premium card. These are joined by more than a dozen other inserts and parallels.
2022-23 Parkhurst Champions Hockey Checklist Overview
The base set has 350 total cards. That said, like a lot of Upper Deck’s sets, there are multiple levels within it, some tougher to pull than others.
The first 300 cards make up the shell set. The final 50 are short prints, split evenly between Rookies (1:7 packs) and Legends (1:20 packs).
Parallels come in seven levels:
Silver – 1:2 packs, Rookies – 1:27 packs, Legends – 1:80 packs
Rainbow – 1:7 packs, Rookies – 1:134, Legends – 1:400
Color Variations – 1:12 packs, Rookies – 1:267 packs, Legends – 1:800 packs
Gold Rainbow – 1:24 packs, Rookies – 1:534 packs, Legends – 1:1,600 packs
Red – /51
Black – /10
Printing Plates
Select cards also have a mix of autographs and memorabilia cards:
Autographs
Jersey
Patch/Premium Memorabilia – /25 or /10
Auto Patch/Premium Memorabilia – /35, /25 or /10
Blue Autographs – /15

Some base cards also have Photo Variations (1:480 packs) that switch out the image.
Other Inserts and Autographs
One of the ways that 2022-23 Parkhurst Champions Hockey nods to the past is with ’51 Retros (1:8 packs). The 100-card insert set is inspired by 1951-52 Parkhurst Hockey.
Parallels for these include Wrapper Back (1:40 packs) and Gold Rainbow (/51). Blue Border versions are exclusive to retail blasters, landing 1:5 packs (approximately one per box). Autographs (1:360 packs, Rookies – 1:360 packs, Legends – 1:1,920 packs) are also available for some cards. These have their own Red (/5) parallels.

The doo-wop decade inspires a couple of other insert sets as well: ’50s Flashback (1:34 packs) and Jukebox Heroes (1:25 packs), which are die-cut in the shape of one of the freestanding music machines. Both have tough Gold parallels as well as Printing Plates. Some Jukebox Heroes come with numbered autographs as well.

Other insert sets in 2022-23 Parkhurst Champions include All-Star Legends (1:1,200 packs), Tomorrow’s Riches (1:17 packs) and Wire Image (1:15 packs). Tomorrow’s Riches and Wire Images are other places collectors can find Gold parallels, Printing Plates and autographs.

Parkhurst MEM-orable Booklet Cuts are planned redemptions in the product. Autos (/10) and Rookie Autos (/25) are among them.
