Autographs and memorabilia play a key role in 2020-21 Upper Deck Trilogy Hockey, but there’s more to it than that. It’s cornerstone tiered structure returns, which means more cards of top rookies.
At the hobby box level, there’s two total hits across six packs. Joining them are a pair of numbered parallels and two rookies or rookie-centric inserts.
2020-21 Upper Deck Trilogy Hockey Checklist Overview
Trilogy starts with a 50-card shell set of top vets. From there, it moves to the rookies, which have common (/999), uncommon (/499) and rare (/299) versions. While several of Upper Deck’s sets take a tiered approach to rookies, Trilogy’s is different in that it’s the same crop of players in each group. This also means a roster that’s more about key prospects rather than a deep crop. The checklist rounds out with a tough Rare Rookies Triple card that has three top players and a print run of just 99 copies.
As far as parallels go, virtually all come in the form of autographs or memorabilia cards.
Veterans have Red Jersey (1:30 packs), Autographs (/1:75), Blue Patch (/25 or less) and Autographs Patch (/25 or less) versions. There’s also Purple parallels that are one-of-ones, some of which have autographs.

Signatures Pucks return in 2020-21 Upper Deck Trilogy Hockey with base versions landing 1:27 packs. These also have Team Logo (/21) and NHL Shield Logo (/3) parallels.
Four additional themes also available: Rookie Signature Pucks are 1:184 packs and have Team Logo (/25) and Draft/Shield Logo (/3) parallels. All-Star, Trophy Winner and HOF Inductee Signature Pucks are each 1:1,030 packs for base versions. These also have two levels of parallels that are numbered to 8 or 2 depending on the logo on the puck-like surface used for the autograph.
Other autograph-specific inserts include Auto Focus (1:500), Auto Focus Rookies (1:1,000), Crystallized Signatures (1:180) and Scripted Hall of Fame Plaques (/25). These all come with on-card signatures and are done on plexiglass stock.
Honorary Triple Swatches come with three different swatches. Those featured here are a mix of stars, legends and rookies. Print runs vary from player to player coming in at 35, 25 or ten copies.
There’s also Triple Relics that have a three-tiered structure of 35, 25 or ten copies each.
