2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey is the sophomore season for the chrome release. While the checklist has lots of returning elements, some new ones join the mix as well. Like virtually every modern set done on the metallic-style stock, color runs throughout the product in the form of parallels. There’s also a fairly broad assortment of other inserts and chase elements.
2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Checklist Overview
The base set has 150 total cards. The first 100 cards split between 70 vets and 30 rookies.
Parallels, which average one per hobby pack, aren’t limited to just a rainbow of colors. Background patterns are help many stand out even further. These include:

The remaining 50 cards are rookie short prints. These combine to land approximately one per pack. So while tougher than the other 100 cards, building a full set shouldn’t be too daunting.
SP parallels don’t have quite the same number of levels, but the lineup is close:

Autographs and memorabilia put more spins on select base set cards. These begin with Red Rainbow (Base – 1:80, Base Rookies – /299 or /199, SP (#101-150) – 1:35). Others include Blue Line (/35), Purple Diamond Die-Cut (/10) and Golden Treasures (1/1).
Those with memorabilia include Base Red Rainbow Rookie Jersey (1:23), Blue Line Auto Jersey (Base – /25, Rookie – /75), Purple Diamond Auto Patch (/10) and Golden Treasures Auto Patch (1/1).
Ten base cards also have variation short prints, which have long odds of 1:500 hobby packs.
Inserts
Regular inserts combine to land five per hobby box.
Grand Entrance (1:4) makes its debut, highlighting rookies. The have Blue parallels numbered to 99 as well as Green Quartz Autographs (1:50).
Other new inserts in 2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey include Diagnostics and City Celly, both of which are 1:11 hobby packs. City Celly uses players’ home city skylines as a backdrop. These chase sets also have autograph parallels. For Diagnostics, it’s Black and Green (1:331). City Celly cards have Seismic Autographs (1:331).
Allure is the lone returning insert set.
Taking a page from Select Football, XRC Rookie Redemptions (1:640) deliver an IOU for one of five top 2021-22 rookies.
Allure Quartz is an all-autographs insert set that features top players and rookies. Base versions fall 1:250 hobby packs while Blue parallels are numbered to 5.
