2018-19 Upper Deck Premier Hockey is concerned primarily with autographs and memorabilia. Four out of every six cards in a hobby box are hits including one acetate Rookie Patch Auto. The checklist has rookie signatures in several parts with veterans and retired ink popping up in a few spots as well.
Upper Deck is promising a cheaper suggested price over 2017-18’s release. Part of that comes from a slightly reduced box size with one less hit.
2018-19 Upper Deck Premier Hockey Base Set Basics and Parallels Overview
The 2018-19 Upper Deck Premier Hockey main set has a few parts to it. Regular base cards and a Legends subset are both numbered to 199 copies. Base set Rookies come in two tiers, numbered to either 299 or 199.
All told each box has one of the more common Rookies plus a second card that’s either a vet, Legends card or rookie that comes from the tougher tier.
Jersey parallels are available for veteran (1:5) and Legends (1:35) cards. Additional parallels include Premium Materials, Fight Strap (/5), Neckline (/3), Silver Spectrum Autographs, and Platinum Blue Spectrum Autographs (1/1).
Rookies get a similar parallel treatment, although with different quantities and insertion rates. These break down to Jersey (1:2), Patch (/49), Fight Strap (/15), Neckline (/3), Silver Spectrum (Auto Tier 1 – 1:3, Auto Tier 2 – 1:25, Non-Auto – 1:200), Platinum Blue Spectrum Auto (/3).
Rookie Patch Autographs
Rookie Patch Autographs have been one of Premier’s cornerstones for a while now. Once again, the come on acetate, giving them a different feel from a lot of other cards that share the same characteristics.

Base versions have either 249 (Tier 1) or 99 (Tier 2) copies. Parallels are Gold Spectrum (Tier 1 – /99, Tier 2 – /25) and Platinum Blue (1/1).

For rookies where autographs aren’t available but memorabilia is, there are unsigned versions numbered to 99.
2018-19 Upper Deck Premier Hockey has a couple of other rookie patch autograph inserts. The set goes back more than 15 years for 2003-04 Retro Rookie Auto Patch (/99) cards.
Premier Attractions Rookie Auto Patch cards also have 99 copies each. Non-autographed Premier Attractions Patch cards are more rare with 49 copies.

Additional Autographs and Memorabilia Cards
Premier Attractions isn’t limited to just rookies. Some veterans have similar autograph patch cards as well. These take a levelled approach to print runs with players having print runs of either 99 or 25 copies each.
Other autographs in 2018-19 Upper Deck Premier Hockey include Premier Signatures (1:4) and numbered Inked Scripts, Signature Champions and Signature Award Winners.

As far as memorabilia cards go, these fall under Premier Swatches Jersey. Besides single-swatch cards, there are Dual (/99), Trio (/75) and Quad (/49 or /25) cards.
Premier Mega Patch cards are identifiable by their massive swatches. These are available with Chest Logo, Shoulder Logo and Commemorative Logo takes. All of these come from game-used jerseys, including rookies.
