The three-card packs will retail for just a dollar each with each purchase of a beverage, but those not wanting a drink can pay $1.99 each instead. There will be a 100-card set to collect which features 99 current players along with the Hockey Hall of Fame member Tim Horton, who started the company during his days as a defenseman with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Collectors can also expect to find an assortment of insert and redemption cards inside of packs of 2015-16 Upper Deck Tim Hortons, including 15 different autographs and 17 different game-worn jersey cards. The non-memorabilia inserts include Silver Silhouettes, Die-Cuts, Shining Futures, Above the Ice, Season Highlights checklists, and Franchise Force. There are also major hits in the form of seven Autograph Jersey Relic cards and a #1 Draft Pick Rookie Redemption card that will be released and features Connor McDavid after he makes his NHL debut.
Since this promotion is expected to be quite vast, the odds of pulling a big hit are long, but the secondary market potential for those cards is indeed huge. Public awareness of this program is expected to be high with a television commercial featuring Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby, who has long been a Tim Hortons spokesman and signed 87 cards Timbits cards for the product.

With the help of Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, we’re connecting with hockey fans, young and old, across the country by capturing the nostalgia of hockey card collecting in a new and exciting way.”

As an interactive component, each pack features a PIN code that will unlock digital cards on the http://www.collecttowin.ca website. Once they register and long in, they will receive a five-card starter pack and will be able to trade them with other users. Additionally, there are chances to win prizes such as one of five trips to the 2016 NHL All-Star Weekend or one of 100 NHL ’16 prize packs from EA Sports.
